Project honeypot integration?

Botnets are constantly trying to brute force into this or that e-mail account in my server. The limits help, but they just keep trying slowly and with different IP addresses every time. It's aoying to receive notifications and to have to block them manually.

It just so happens that I noticed many of these IPs are already known as malicious by project honeypot. CSF can retrieve the list of IPs from their RSS feed, but it only provides the 25 latest entries (likewise for the user interface; 50 if you're logged in). But they do seem to have an API with various example implementations.

Has anyone been able to integrate their DA/dovecot install with PH in order to automatically check and block addresses that are blacklisted before they attempt to log in? Any ideas?

Mail server does not sent bounce message to sender

Hello DA-folks,

When I sent a message to e.g. a non-existent mail address the mail is directly frozen.
But I do not receive a bounce mail at the sender the mail address.

Is this standard or is there something wrong?

I do see the following in the log:

Code:

Process failed (1) when writing error message to [email protected] (frozen)

[email protected] = the sender mail address.

What can I do to solve this?

Create file via API not working

Hi,
am using simple get parameters and it's not save the file:

FTP problems

It could indeed be CSF. Depending on if you used the ./install.directadmin.sh or not.
At some places, like work or friends, depending on routers and firewalls, direct FTP access is not always possible.
In that case try PASV ftp. However, to be able to use PASV FTP, the ports which use it should be open in CSF. By default the port range 35000:35999 is used for FTP.
If you have that open in CSF (inclusive port 20 and 21) all incoming and outgoing on TCP, then CSF is not causing the problem.

I don't know where "somewhere else" is, but be aware of the fact that some company's do not allow their employees to use FTP traffic from their work place.

IPFW firewall IP table gets removed after rebooting the server

Hello,

I am using IPFW firewall on my server (with FreeBSD 11.2), The problem that I have is that whenever I reboot the server or reboot the firewall, the blocked IPs in the IPFW table are gone.

I would appreciate if you provide me with a solution to resolve this issue.

File not uploading on File manager

Hello,

after trying to upload file in Directadmin File Manager in reseller account, I get this error:

"Unknown error
Unable to open /home/tmp/8acwf7g6048w8okgkc0w84sc4uGWBeN for reading

Waing: Saved filesize is less than uploaded filesize. Check quotas.
Waing: Quota limit reached. File(s) may be empty."

Disk space is not empty and quota was nos reached.

Maybe someone has an idea?

NXDOMAIN error on part of hostname
